The Edox Lab — Savoir-Faire

Behind every Edox is a way of working — a savoir-faire refined over more than 140 years. The Edox Lab is where design, engineering and Swiss hand-craft meet. These are the eight competencies that define how an Edox is made.

1. In-house design

Every Edox begins as a hand-drawn sketch in the Swiss Jura. Cases, dials and details are designed in-house, giving the collection its unmistakable identity.

2. Ultra-complex cases

Edox is known for multi-part case construction — the signature triple-horn Grand Ocean, screw-down crowns and pushers, forged carbon and titanium — engineered to protect the movement and survive the extreme.

3. Excellent movements

Edox builds around proven, high-quality Swiss calibres from specialist suppliers, selected and regulated for reliability and accuracy — and, in the flagship lines, certified as COSC chronometers.

4. Ultimate precision

Swiss-made hands and components are finished to tolerances measured in hundredths of a millimetre, so that every dial reads cleanly and every function performs exactly as it should.

5. Handmade masterpieces

Each watch is assembled and regulated by an individual watchmaker at the Les Genevez manufacture — more than a hundred synchronized components brought together by hand, then tested.

6. Time for innovation

Edox holds patents that changed the industry: the double-sealed crown that made the 1961 Delfin so watertight, and the record-setting ultra-flat movement of Les Bémonts. Innovation is not a marketing word here — it is on file in Bern.

7. Legendary ideas

From world-first water-resistant designs to the Geoscope world-timer, Edox has a long history of firsts — ideas that others adopted only later.

8. Made for champions

Edox is an official timekeeper for the fastest and most demanding arenas on earth — offshore powerboat racing, rally, sailing and more. When the clock genuinely matters, it tends to have an hourglass on it.
